This is a 30-year-old woman G3, P2 scanned at 32 weeks of gestation. The previous ultrasound scans were normal.The examination revealed a small thick walled bladder and bilateral pylectasis. The amniotic fluid was normal. A diagnosis of posterior urethral valves was made.

The baby was delivered at 39 weeks of gestation. A postnatal cystoscopy confirmed the diagnosis and the valves were resected.
