Case report
A 28-year-old female (gravida 2, para 1) was transferred from an outside facility for ultrasonographic features concerning anencephaly. A subsequent ultrasonographic evaluation suggested a diagnosis of acrania at approximately 20 weeksThe characteristic findings in ultrasound at 23 weeks are absence of the flat skull bones with disorganised cerebral hemispheres. In this case, fetal demise was at 22 weeks.
