Cloacal dysgenesis sequence

Jayprakash Shah, MD

Ahmedabad, India

This patient was referred at 30-32 weeks to evaluation of a fetal cystic mass lesion in abdomen. Three cystic masses in lower abdomen with ascites were observed. A typical rabbit ear pattern was visible in one of the cysts. Amniotic fluid was normal. The bladder was not identified. Cloacal malformation was suspected. Post natal examination confirmed the diagnosis.
