Cord entanglement, twins

A primigravida was referred at 19 weeks of gestation. An ultrasound performed showed no cardiac activity in the twin gestation. This was followed by spontaneous expulsion of the monoamniotic twin fetuses, in whom cord entanglement was noted as seen below. No other fetal anomalies were observed.
