This is a 28-year-old primigravida without relevant past obstetrical history. The nuchal translucency (1mm) and the triple test were normal.

The second scan performed at 30 weeks showed an omphalocele. No other malformations were detected. An amniocentesis was done at 32 week (46, XX). In our unit, the scans were performed at 31 and 36 weeks. The patient delivered at 37 weeks. The baby's weight was 2500 g. The surgery was performed few hours after delivery. Now the baby is well and with a normal growth.
